On Thursday night, February 11, 2016, the two remaining candidates for the Democratic Party’s nomination for President faced off for about three hours of one-on-one debate. It was the sixth debate for the Democrats and the second time the debate featured just former secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
Coming just a couple of days after Sanders’ resounding 60-38 percent victory over Mrs. Clinton in New Hampshire, Clinton was on the offensive throughout the debate, trying to paint Sanders as not being on the level with the American people and not being fully supportive of President Barack Obama. Sanders hit Clinton hard on the issue of her Super Pac being funded primarily by a few Wall Street donors, something Clinton was unable to defend effectively.
